NZ Aviation Specialists
Owner and operator Blair Chapman gained his CPL (H) licence in 1995 and then engaged straight into Agricultural operations.
In 1998 he started his own company (Mid Canterbury Helicopters) and then soon after purchased Mt Hutt Helicopters. In 2010 Blair further purchased Coastwide Helicopters in Greymouth and operated both these companies until April 2013 when he sold MHH and Coastwide Helicopters to Kershaw Aviation.
During his tenure at MHH/Coastwide Blair fostered a culture of diversity to which we established income streams in the Agricultural, Commercial, Emergency and Tourism sectors of aviation operations. The businesses grew from 1 helicopter to operating 5 helicopters and maintained an accident free record.
Blair was driven to success by robust operating procedures, the right gear and a great team and this went onto achieving ISO9001:2008, ACC WSMP Secondary Level and Aircare accreditations.
Since 2013 he has furthered his experience and qualifications obtaining CPL(A) licence, Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) theory exams and Instrument Flight Rating (IFR) rating.
